The Aerodynamicist will design, analyze, build, and test prototype experimental aircraft in a fast-paced research and development environment. The work will span preliminary design, critical design development, experimental flight test engineering, and post flight data reduction.

Duties and Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
• Completing a variety of conceptual and preliminary design studies in a thorough, imaginative, and practical manner
• Aerodynamic loads, performance, stability, and control analyses
• CFD setup and analysis of internal and external flow and post processing of associated solutions
• Documenting analysis
• Supporting flight test planning, execution, and aircraft modifications
• Simultaneous work on multiple projects

• A complete understanding of fluid dynamic technical principles, theories, concepts, and design/analysis methods
• Thorough understanding of aircraft sizing, performance, and stability and control
• Strong problem solving, organizational, and communication skills
• Strong knowledge of aerospace technologies and products
• Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering
• Proficiency in 3D CAD
• Ability to work in multiple engineering disciplines on an aggressive schedule
• A minimum of three years of directly related aircraft work experience
• Familiarity with aero tools (Star-CCM, vortex lattice codes, Datcom, Matlab, etc.)
• Proof of U.S. Citizenship

• Flight test or wind tunnel experience
• Hands-on composites fabrication and assembly experience
• Rapid prototyping experience
• Aircraft home-building experience
• Pilot’s License
• DOD Secret Clearance
• Additional degrees or additional relevant work experience
