Contracts Administrator

This individual is responsible for the preparation and administration of a broad range of government and commercial contracts and subcontracts. This person will report to the Director of Contracts & Export Compliance.

Duties and Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
• Prepare and review standard contract documents including, non-disclosure, subcontract, and supplier agreements. Identify significant or unique contract requirements, special provisions, and terms and conditions with customers, subcontractors, and suppliers
• Assist in preparation of subcontract modifications and amendments
• Track authorizations, correspondence, revisions, and contractual deadlines
• Assist in maintaining detailed and organized contract and subcontract files
• Assist Contracts Director in the identification, development, and implementation of new contract processes
• Prepare and disseminate information throughout the company regarding contract status, compliance, modifications, deviations, negotiations, and termination
• Administration of subcontract and contract processes including generation of non-disclosure agreements, requests for proposals/quotes, proposal evaluations, source selections, negotiations, file documentation, change management, dispute resolution, and subcontract and contract close-out
• Track subcontractor performance in the areas of their technical scope, schedule, and cost
• Provide timely and accurate subcontract status to management
• Apply ingenuity and innovation to develop solutions to complex subcontract problems
• Monitor subcontract compliance with program schedule as outlined in contract and proactively identify and resolve non-compliances as required
• Provide guidance to Contracts Director, Senior Management, and Purchasing Manager regarding FAR/DFAR requirements and required flow-downs to Lower Tier Subcontractors (LTS)

Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related discipline
• 4+ years of relevant government contract administration experience
• Thorough understanding of commercial contract and subcontract management, business agreements, general business practices, negotiations, and license agreements
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to obtain a Security Clearance

Preferred Skills and Experience:
• Thorough understanding of various contract types including IDIQ, CPFF, CPAF, T&M, and FFP contracts
• Strong knowledge of the federal acquisition process, government contracting principles and governing regulations (including FAR/DFAR)
• Demonstrated knowledge of international contract terms, ITAR and US import and export regulations
• Excellent organization, time management and multitasking skills
• Excellent analytical and negotiation skills
• Active Security Clearance

Essential Job Functions:
• Requires mobility and the ability to bend and reach
• Clearly communicate verbally and in writing
• Move materials weighing up to 10 pounds on a regular basis such as files, books, office equipment, etc.  May infrequently require moving materials weighing up to 40 pounds.
• Manual dexterity and coordination are required (e.g., to operate computer keyboard)
• Vision at close distances and the ability to adjust focus
• Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time
